The story of 31-year-old Nadiia Vikarii has shaken all of Ukraine. The girl reported years of sexual abuse against her and her older sister Daryna Vikarii when they were children, and named her biological brothers, who are currently serving in the Third Army Corps, as the perpetrators.
My name is Vikarii Nadiia, and I am not afraid to publicly tell my story from hell: how I, along with my biological sister, when we were minors, were raped by our biological brothers, who are now serving in the Third Assault Brigade and are being made heroes
In addition, the girl claims that she and her sister were subjected to brutal torture by their biological mother, Tetiana Sannikova. Thus, in 2004, one of the girls, little Dasha, died at the hands of her relatives at the age of 10, and the girl's body was buried near a garbage dump by her mother and older daughter Svitlana, the victim claims. At the same time, the girl's disappearance was explained by saying that she had allegedly gone somewhere.
Now I am no longer afraid. I am no longer afraid to tell how my sister and I were tortured and killed. I managed to survive, but she, unfortunately, did not. I ask everyone not to make my mistakes - not to be silent, not to withdraw into themselves, and not to blame themselves. The main thing is not to be silent
At the same time, the investigation conducted after the discovery of the remains did not establish signs of violent death. In fact, the exact cause of death cannot be determined, because the girl's body was already skeletonized at that time. A re-investigation is not currently planned.
Dasha's body was reburied, and Nadiia Vikarii was able to find her grave more than two decades later.
I remembered your small, naked, so cold body. It was covered in scars, bruises, dried blood... I believed I could warm you, wake you up, I tried so hard... But you no longer felt pain. For 22 years, no one came to her. For 22 years, weeds grew waist-high there, which I pulled out with my hands, rubbing them until they bled and crying. For 22 years, she lay in oblivion. There isn't even a plaque on her grave. Not a single soul from that "family" came to her all these years. She was abandoned by everyone but me. Only now, thanks to @vk_west, his lawyers and attorneys, I was able to find her. I am very grateful to the employees of the Communal Enterprise "Combine of Communal Enterprises", who, instead of an official, legally correct answer about the absence of her grave, looked through paper journals for the entire year and found that my Dashunka's surname was changed before her death. Dasha, I managed to survive in that hell where you died. Now I am here. Now I am your voice. I promise: no one will pretend that you never existed again. You are no longer alone
Nadiia Vikarii's mother, Tetiana Sannikova, was deprived of her parental rights when the girl was already 18 years old.
Nadiia dared to speak about the terrible events of her life against the backdrop of a video about her brothers, who, according to her, sexually abused her and her sister. The story, titled "Mother sent seven sons to war," tells how seven biological brothers stood up to defend Ukraine. The story mentions their mother, Tetiana Sannikova; she raised 11 children: eight sons and three daughters. After Nadiia publicly told her story, the video was removed from all platforms.
Nadiia reported that she opened a fundraiser and received over 200,000 hryvnias. According to her, she spends the money on treatment, household needs, and legal assistance.
I didn't have a single penny - neither for psychotherapy, nor for food, nor for clothes, nor for household items, etc. I will show every penny of my expenses from the funds you sent. I don't force anyone: if you wish to help me, I will be very grateful
