Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys suggested that the ministers of the European Union member states jointly appeal to the European External Action Service and the European Commission to approve the EU strategy to counter Russia's hybrid actions. This is reported by lrt with reference to the country's Foreign Ministry, UNN reports.
"Russia is using hybrid attacks to distract us from its aggressive war against Ukraine, divert our resources elsewhere, intimidate and divide our societies. We must look for a collective response, continue to support Ukraine and create strategic dilemmas for Russia by exploiting its vulnerability and dependence," the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lithuania, together with the Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Sweden and Romania, has prepared its own proposal to counter Russia's hybrid actions, which will be discussed at the January meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council.

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga warned Europe about Russia's massive hybrid offensive and proposed urgent steps to protect Ukraine, including completely blocking Russian propaganda, strengthening cyber defense, and making the Schengen visa policy for Russian citizens stricter.
