The national energy company "Ukrenergo" reported a sharp deterioration in the situation in Ukraine's energy system on January 28. Due to the consequences of massive Russian shelling and a significant power deficit, energy workers were forced to switch from planned restrictions to emergency measures in a number of regions. This was reported by UNN.
Details
In regions where the situation is most critical, previously published hourly outage schedules are temporarily not in effect. Emergency shutdowns are introduced immediately at the discretion of Ukrenergo dispatchers, making it impossible to predict the exact time of restoration of electricity supply in individual settlements.
Energy workers are working to restore stable electricity supply as soon as possible. Emergency shutdowns will be canceled after the situation in the energy system stabilizes.
Specialists urge citizens to be understanding of the situation, as this is the only way to prevent a large-scale system accident.
