As Svyrydenko noted, in the face of constant Russian attacks, communities must have backup power sources for hospitals, schools, social institutions, and other critical infrastructure.
The head of government instructed the Ministry of Finance, together with the Ministry of Development and the Ministry of Energy, to work on amendments to budget legislation regarding the allocation of free balances from local budgets for the purchase and maintenance of alternative energy sources for municipal institutions. This refers to solar panels, wind turbines, cogeneration units, and energy storage systems.
Yuliia Svyrydenko also instructed the Ministry of Finance, together with the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Social Policy, to develop mechanisms for compensating local budgets for the labor costs of employees in educational, social, and rehabilitation institutions.
