Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis emphasized that continuing to help Ukraine is not only about Ukraine, not only about the region, it is about ensuring global stability, and called for continued attention to Russia's war against Ukraine, despite the conflict in the Middle East, UNN reports with reference to BNS and tagesschau.

The Israeli military says that almost all of the drones and missiles were intercepted before they reached the country's territory. The United States, Jordan, the United Kingdom and other allies helped Israel repel the attack.
At a joint press conference with Dutch Foreign Minister Hanke Bruins Slot, the head of Lithuanian diplomacy noted that this assistance would inevitably be in the focus of Ukrainian attention.
"With the help of the West, air security was provided for Israel, a non-NATO partner. I think that Ukrainians will ask this question, and they will ask it reasonably: if such assistance is provided to Israel, can it be provided to Ukraine? I think this could strengthen their argument for additional air defense," Landsbergis said.
According to him, the attack on Israel, the war in Ukraine, and tensions in the Southeast Asian region are not "isolated incidents.
"We see the audacity of autocratic, imperialist, aggressive regimes, they are becoming bolder," said the Lithuanian Foreign Minister. "We may see more of this in the future, so Lithuania emphasizes that helping Ukraine is not only about Ukraine, not only about the region, it is about ensuring global stability, demonstrating that the West can be trusted.
According to the head of Lithuanian diplomacy, the West should draw red lines not for itself, but for the aggressors.
Landsbergis also expressed hope that a greater escalation in the Middle East will probably be avoided, as otherwise it could divert the West's attention from Ukraine.
"If we talk about hypothetical scenarios, if the war in the Middle East escalates into a full-scale conflict (...), it would be easy to agree that this would divide our attention, but this is a hypothetical scenario. It seems that this has been avoided today," the minister said.
The head of the Dutch diplomacy said that the security of the whole of Europe depends on Ukraine's victory over the Kremlin, so attention to Ukraine cannot be reduced.
"I am convinced of the power of (Vladimir) Putin's hunger - if he gets Ukraine, it will not be enough. The stability and security of us - the Netherlands and Europe as a whole - is particularly intertwined with the very brave fight that Ukrainians are waging every day," said Dutch Foreign Minister Hanke Bruins Slot.
She emphasized that the issue of Ukraine's victory should remain a priority, despite conflicts in other parts of the world.
