Latvia will provide Ukraine with approximately 112 million euros in military support this year. The country will also help with the restoration of Ukraine and the protection of critical infrastructure. This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy after a meeting with Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs, UNN reports.
We have a concrete result of our meeting today with President Edgars Rinkēvičs - an agreement on security cooperation and long-term support. I thank Latvia for its readiness to help Ukraine defend itself against Russian aggression for as long as necessary. This year, the country will provide military support worth about 112 million euros
According to him, Latvia will also help with recovery and reconstruction, protection of critical infrastructure, demining, unmanned aerial vehicles and cybersecurity.
"We appreciate such important assistance for our country and our people!" the President added.
Earlier, UNN reported that Ukraine and Latvia signed a bilateral security agreement.
