Zelenskyy and Macron discussed strengthening air defense and joint work on anti-ballistics. France supports the opening of Ukraine's negotiation clusters with the EU.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that he spoke with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, and France will assist with anti-ballistics and supported the path to the EU with the opening of clusters, UNN reports.
"As always, a good and meaningful conversation with the President of France, Emmanuel Macron. We managed to discuss many issues, and I am grateful for our coordination in all directions," the President of Ukraine posted on social media.
I thanked Emmanuel for his principled condemnation of Russian attacks on our cities and communities. These strikes clearly demonstrate what Russia is and why we all need to strengthen our collective defense against all threats. France is ready to work on anti-ballistics. This is a strong decision and an important step. We also discussed strengthening our capabilities to repel Russian attacks right now. Thank you for the readiness to strengthen our air defense
According to him, "we also talked about the European track and the opening of all negotiation clusters in the near future." "France supports Ukraine and understands how important a step this is for all Ukrainians," he indicated.
"Emmanuel informed me about his visit to African countries. We spoke about the importance of joint coordination in this direction, as it is equally important for Ukraine," the President noted.
