It is noted that Zelensky noted the support of Ukraine by the United States and thanked the regional authorities for sheltering refugees from Ukraine.
The Head of State urged American officials to "build ties between people that will last forever".
"We can already see Utah's contribution to rebuilding our country - you have helped thousands of people. And such help can become help for millions of people and for the cause of good in general, which rewards everyone, no matter where they live. Because we all share the same values and we don't want the war to destroy lives somewhere," he said.
Zelenskyy also emphasized Ukraine's needs for bomb shelters for educational institutions, air defense for the Defense Forces, and electricity generation. Zelenskyy called on US governors to develop regional cooperation with Ukrainian regions.
"We are grateful for the humanitarian aid and housing, especially for the people who lost their homes due to the shelling. They lost their homes, and so they really needed to restore them or rebuild them from scratch, to rebuild their lives. So we are grateful to your business," he said.
In addition, the Head of State spoke about the situation on the battlefield, the daily Russian terror against Ukrainian civilian objects, critical and energy infrastructure. He also spoke about Russia's recent missile attack on the Okhmatdyt children's hospital in Kyiv.
"You should know that Russia attacks our schools, universities, and hospitals every day. And that is why the NATO summit was so important to strengthen our air defense. We are grateful to America and other partners. And the decision to transfer several additional defense systems is very important for us," Zelenskyy said.
The Presidential Administration added that during this meeting, the President of Ukraine discussed with the US governors cooperation at the level of defense companies and the reconstruction of Ukrainian schools and hospitals.
