Zelenskyy announced preparations for new prisoner exchanges and ongoing efforts to return Ukrainians

The President discussed the preparation of new exchanges and the release of various categories of citizens with the Staff. Ukraine is verifying data on all missing persons.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the team of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, during which they discussed the exchanges already carried out this year and the preparation of future ones. The Head of State reported this on social media, according to UNN.
According to the President, Ukraine expects to return home citizens held in captivity in Russia and in the temporarily occupied territories in the near future.
We hope that in the near future we will be able to welcome home Ukrainians who are currently in captivity in Russia and in the temporarily occupied territory
He noted that the Coordination Headquarters has already processed the documents and lists necessary for the exchange and maintains constant communication with the Russian side on humanitarian issues.
Separately, the meeting discussed the release of various categories of prisoners, including journalists, city mayors, community leaders, energy workers, soldiers of the "Azov" regiment, marines, paratroopers, and other Ukrainians for whom the exchange process is particularly difficult.
The President emphasized that Ukraine verifies information regarding every missing person.
It often happens that a person is on the list of missing persons, but we find them in camps in Russia and return them to Ukraine
Zelenskyy also announced his intention to speak with the leaders of partner countries regarding additional steps in the matter of releasing Ukrainians.
Our goal is to return all our people home from captivity
