Zelensky promoted to the rank of general to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Syryskyi

The President of Ukraine has promoted the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Syrsky, to general. The Chief of the General Staff Bargylevych and the Commander of the Joint Forces Hnatov were also promoted.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has issued a decree promoting Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyy to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, UNN reports, citing Presidential Decree No. 580/2024 of August 23.
Details
"To confer the military rank of general on Colonel-General Oleksandr Stanislavovych Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the decree reads.
Also, by Decree No. 581/2024 of August 23, the President promoted the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Anatoliy Bargylevych, to the rank of lieutenant general. He also promoted Brigadier General Andriy Hnatov to the rank of Major General, Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, by Decree No. 582/2024 of August 23.
