Ukrainian forces control 74 settlements in the Kursk region of Russia. President Zelenskyy announces the surrender of hundreds of Russian soldiers and their humane treatment.
As a result of the operation of the Ukrainian military in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, hundreds of Russian soldiers surrendered. This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a video message, UNN reports.
"The Chief of Staff reported that our forces control 74 settlements in the Kursk region. I thank every soldier and every commander who ensures this. Again, I thank all our guys who replenish the exchange fund - it is very important for our country. Hundreds of Russian soldiers have already surrendered, and they will all be treated humanely - they did not even receive such treatment in their own Russian army," Zelensky said.

Zelensky reportedthat despite difficult, intense fighting, the advance of Ukrainian forces in Kursk region continues, and the exchange fund for Ukraine is being replenished.
Also, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported to Zelensky that the Armed Forces groups continue to conduct operations in the Kursk region.
Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian troops have advanced in some areas by one to three kilometers. They have taken control of 40 square kilometers of territory.
