The head of the OP, Andriy Yermak, said that Ukraine must become strong to negotiate with Russia on an equal footing. He emphasized that Ukraine did not provoke the war, while Russia continues its aggression.

Ukraine is not yet ready to negotiate with Russia on ending the war in the context of strong negotiating positions, as it needs clear guarantees that Russia will not attack again in two or three years. This was stated by the head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak to “Suspilne”, reports UNN.

“Today we are talking to our partners about why it is so important to strengthen Ukraine. In general, we need to break down the Russian narrative that Ukraine wanted the war. Ukraine did not want it and did not provoke Russia in any way. Russia did not come here to defend anyone, because it does not even defend its own territory (Kursk region - ed.). it is important for Putin to continue his aggression on our territory. Therefore, to start negotiations, Ukraine must be strong, and then it will be able to talk to Russia on an equal footing. Because all that is currently coming from the Kremlin is the language of ultimatums,” Yermak said.
