Andriy Yermak and Anders Fogh Rasmussen discussed Ukraine's path to NATO and its role in Euro-Atlantic security, with Rasmussen calling for Ukraine's membership in the Alliance as soon as possible.
Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak and 12th NATO Secretary General, founder of Rasmussen Global Anders Fogh Rasmussen discussed joint work to promote Ukraine's path to NATO, UNN reports.
I had a phone conversation with the 12th NATO Secretary General, founder of Rasmussen Global Anders Fogh Rasmussen. We agreed that sustained international support for Ukraine is critical to achieving our country's victory over the aggressor. We discussed joint work on promoting Ukraine's path to NATO and our country's contribution to Euro-Atlantic security
According to him, Anders Fogh Rasmussen emphasized the importance of Ukraine's early accession to NATO.
"He emphasized that membership in the Alliance should extend to all territories of Ukraine with full respect for its state sovereignty and territorial integrity. He noted that the analogy with Germany that he cited in The Guardian article should not be perceived as undermining the basic principle of respect for Ukraine's territorial integrity," Yermak said.
