In the Brovary community work is underway to equip shelters in kindergartens.
The Brovary community continues to actively equip shelters in kindergartens to ensure the safety and comfort of children during air raids. The work is being carried out within the funding allocated by local authorities and is already yielding results, UNN writes.
Trebukhiv
The Krayina Ditynstva kindergarten in the village of Trebukhiv, Brovary district, has two shelters - two rooms on each side of the building. According to Brovary Mayor Igor Sapozhko, the work on the shelter is almost complete, with only the rest of the work to be done to equip the restrooms and complete the installation of utilities.
"The kindergarten has been allocated funds to finance the arrangement of the shelter, the work is almost 90% complete, the only remaining issues are the arrangement of toilets and communications," Ihor Sapozhko told during the inspection.
According to Natalia Levenko, the director of the institution, the renovation work included plastering and painting the walls and installing ventilation, which has significantly improved the air quality in the premises. "It used to be damp, but now it's much better, it's easier to breathe, so we're happy with the result," Levenko said.
In addition, the issue of water drainage was resolved in the kindergarten. Also, according to Igor Sapozhko, funds were allocated for the repair of playgrounds on the territory of the kindergarten. These works have already been completed. As well as to repair the roof and other things.
"Blagoustrii has completed the stormwater drainage system, and now all that remains is to pave the territory," said Sapozhko, adding that all the issues raised by parents and staff will be resolved.
He also added that next year they plan to renovate several more groups.
Knyazhychi
The Vyshenka kindergarten in Knyazhychi, Brovary district, is also nearing completion. Antonina Mozgova, the director of the institution, noted that the shelter was equipped from scratch.
"Previously, there were only walls, a floor and a mound of soil. Now there is a full floor, well-painted walls, a hood on both sides, and a second exit to the shelter," she said.
Mayor Ihor Sapozhko notedthat the amount of work performed is quite large, and there are delays on the part of the contractor.
"Unfortunately, there is a certain delay with the contractor. As soon as we talked to them, they promised that they would finish the repairs by the end of November, and the kindergarten would be able to function in full. I hope that the contractor will not let us down," he said.
Local authorities assure that the construction of shelters in kindergartens will remain a priority for the community, as it is an important component of the safety and comfort of the youngest residents.
Recall
In an exclusive interview with UNN , Brovary Mayor Ihor Sapozhko recalled that the villages that became part of the community initially had many problems. In particular, Trebukhiv could not adopt a budget for three years in a row. The village was not developing, problems had been accumulating for years, and they had to be solved. In Knyazhychi, the school had to be closed in winter because of the low temperature and the boiler room had to be quickly fixed.
"These are completely different communities. We have starostas there who express people's opinions, which we listen to, and also make suggestions for the development of these settlements.
We don't have a situation where the city lives its own life and forgets about the three villages that have joined it. These are definitely members of a single community, members of a single family, and I believe that we should develop together," said Ihor Sapozhko.
