Wife of UOC (MP) church rector "guided" enemy missiles at Ukrainian Armed Forces positions near Zaporizhzhia

The Security Service of Ukraine detained a pro-Russian church chorister and the wife of the rector of a local UOC (MP) church who was passing information about the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Zaporizhzhia to the enemy, the SBU reported on Wednesday, UNN reports.

The Security Service detained another supporter of racism who was adjusting Russian air attacks on Zaporizhzhia and expected the full occupation of the region. According to the investigation, the detainee was a church chorister and the wife of the rector of a local UOC (MP) church. It was established that the Russian occupiers used the coordinates of the suspect to try to hit the places of basing of the Defense Forces near the regional center, the SBU reported.

Details

As the investigation revealed, the chorister from the UOC (MP) supported the criminal actions of the Russian invaders from the beginning of the full-scale invasion and hoped to capture the entire southern region of Ukraine.

Subsequently, the defendant reportedly began to track the locations of the concentration of personnel and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and passed the information to her acquaintances in Russia, who then "reported" to representatives of the Russian special services. First of all, the enemy was interested in the temporary deployment points of the AFU units involved in counteroffensive operations on the Berdiansk and Melitopol directions.

SBU officers established the whereabouts of the Russian informant. She was detained in her own home in a village near Zaporizhzhia and notified of suspicion.

The defendant was served a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorized dissemination of information on the sending, movement of weapons, armaments and ammunition to Ukraine, movement, relocation or deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, committed under martial law).
