Russia uses drones to attack energy infrastructure due to limited missile production. The effectiveness of “shaheds” is only 10%, they are a cheaper tool of terror.

Russians resort to targeted drone strikes on energy facilities and civilian infrastructure, as the rate of missile production does not allow for an intensive war with their constant use, explained the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council, Defense Forces officer Andriy Kovalenko, UNN reports.

"Russia is using "shaheds" to target energy infrastructure in the regions to save missiles that it accumulates at strategic aviation airfields. The pace of missile production does not allow Russia to wage an intensive war with their constant use," the head of the Center for Political Analysis emphasized in Telegram.

According to Kovalenko, "shahids" are "a cheaper tool, although the effectiveness of these UAVs is more suitable for terrorizing civilians than for using them for their intended purposes (their effectiveness barely exceeds 10%).
