Today is the Day of Ukrainian Youth. I congratulate everyone who is young, all of you, and I even congratulate the Prime Minister a little bit, all of our young people, all of our heroic soldiers, all of those in the ranks of the Armed Forces who are defending our country. On behalf of our country, I can promise you, I think, the most important thing: Despite the harsh circumstances of the war, Ukraine will not have a generation lost to war. We will end this war in the way that our Ukraine, our state, and our people need and return security to our state and our Ukrainian youth. Our beautiful, wonderful generations and your children will always have in Ukraine the opportunity to realize their talents, to feel needed, needed first and foremost by Ukraine, to provide for their families and to educate their children. These are all absolutely important things, fundamental things that we have to provide and we will provide. I am sure we will do it together

- Zelensky said.

He added that the number one task now is to protect the Ukrainian state.

I am grateful once again to all our boys and girls, all our men, our women, who did not stand aside, who are fighting for Ukraine and for the people who work for Ukraine in one way or another, who support our defense as much as they need to, as much as they can. And please, we all have to remember all of them - the names of all these heroic people - and be grateful to each and every one of them who gave their lives to protect all of us, our future

- Zelensky added.

The president also noted that it is extremely important that the dissemination and protection of the Ukrainian idea and Ukrainian culture is also a matter not only for older generations, but also for younger ones - indeed, for all our people.

We hold the line, particularly in the information and cultural spheres, thanks to many of our people. And these are often very young people who are trying to strengthen and spread Ukrainian narratives. I am grateful to each and every one of them who leaves no chance for Russian propaganda and tells others in the world what is happening in Ukraine and the suffering that Russian aggression has brought to our people. During the war, Ukraine did not lose the institutional capacity of our education, and this is another very important achievement of our people, absolutely all Ukrainians, who have preserved the educational process in our country, helped schools and universities to work. We must also do everything we can to support Ukrainian communities around the world - the children of our people who are now living in other countries. This is a clear task for our state, for all levels of government, and for Ukrainian non-governmental organizations - to maintain educational and cultural ties with Ukraine for our Ukrainians abroad

- the Head of State emphasized.
