At the Yahodyn checkpoint, border guards found a nineteenth-century icon in the belongings of a 37-year-old resident of Kharkiv region. The antique, dated 1880, was seized for examination.
In Volyn region, border guards prevented the export of an ancient nineteenth-century icon that may be of cultural value. This was reported by the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine-Western Border, UNN reports.
Border guards of the Volyn detachment together with customs officers at the Yahodyn checkpoint found an ancient icon. It was found during the clearance of a bus "Kyiv - Novyi Dvir-Mazovetskyi",

It is noted that the antique, dated 1880, was carried in the personal belongings of a passenger, a 37-year-old resident of Kharkiv region, who was traveling to Poland.
The find was seized by customs officers. An expert will determine whether it is of cultural or historical value.
