Despite the pressure, repression, and intimidation, residents of the Russian-occupied territories in Ukraine are silently resisting participation in the illegal legitimization of Putin's rule through the organized "elections." This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on Saturday, UNN reports.

"In the temporarily occupied territories, Russian invaders continue to try to force Ukrainians to take part in the so-called "voting" for the president of the Russian Federation. Intimidation, bribery, and pressure are the main methods," the DIU said.

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine informs that in the temporarily occupied parts of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, representatives of the Russian occupation authorities, accompanied by armed Russian military and FSB officers, are visiting the homes of Ukrainian citizens to explain to them "who they should vote for.

"At the same time, the occupiers emphasize that they can "draw" more than two hundred percent support for their dictator, and the result of Putin's "election" will be unchanged. At the same time, the invaders make the enslaved residents understand that refusal to support Putin will indicate their anti-Russian position," the DIU noted.

The intelligence emphasizes: "It is obvious that the occupiers are afraid of Ukrainians who are "disloyal" to the occupation authorities and who, in their opinion, can destabilize the situation during the "elections"."

"Ukrainian entrepreneurs and educators on the enslaved lands continue to be under pressure from the 'election' farce. If they refuse to "support" Putin, the occupiers threaten to deprive them of the right to do business. Others are threatened with dismissal. The Kremlin agents have a different "campaign approach" to pensioners in the TOT - they are trying to force them to "vote" by bribery and  deception about "better life" and "social benefits," the intelligence noted.

Despite the pressure and repression from the Russian occupation forces, residents of the enslaved territories do not want to participate in the illegal legitimization of Putin's rule. The majority of people are silently resisting the occupiers by locking themselves in their homes and trying to prevent representatives of the so-called "mobile polling stations" from entering their homes
