Ukrainian MP nominates Trump for Nobel Peace Prize

People's deputy of Ukraine, head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on foreign policy Alexander Merezhko has nominated US President-elect Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2025. the MP justified his decision, in particular, with military assistance to Ukraine during Trump's first cadence. In my opinion, Donald Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for several reasons. First, thanks to his diplomatic efforts, it was possible to conclude the agreements of Abraham, which contributed to the achievement of peace and stability in the Middle East

Also, according to the MP, during his first  cadence, Trump provided Ukraine with military-technical assistance, which helped at the beginning of a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation. 

"Just remember Javelins. Trump also strengthened the coalition of states directed against Russian aggression and opposed the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project. for me, this is a significant contribution to the cause of peace," Merezhko said.

The MP added that for him, Trump's nomination is an opportunity to express hope that during the second cadence, his efforts to establish peace in Europe and stop the war will be based on the principles of international law and the UN Charter.
