Ukrainian energy is the enemy's target, but we are recovering - Zelenskyy
Kyiv • UNN
The President of Ukraine met with employees of the energy sector and presented them with state awards. Ukraine will receive new air defense systems from partners to protect its energy infrastructure.
On the eve of the Day of Power Engineer, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with employees of the energy sector and awarded them with state awards, UNN reports .
For three years now, our energy sector has been a target for Russia, and this enemy is always looking for the most despicable ways to strike. Each time, missile and drone strikes are calculated to cause maximum damage to our generation and power grids. And every time, our people do their best to restore electricity to towns and villages as soon as possible
Zelensky thanked all those present and emphasized that the restoration of energy facilities was underway.
"We are constantly working with our partners to supply additional equipment and build new power generation facilities. Of course, we are rebuilding the generation facilities destroyed by the Russians. But all this is just an extension, and the foundation is the daily heroism of people like you and your colleagues," the President of Ukraine added.
