Ukrainian Armed Forces record 134 combat engagements in the frontline, most attacks in the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk sectors - General Staff

Over the last day, 134 combat engagements were registered, 53 of them in the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk sectors. The enemy launched a massive missile and air strike using 130 missiles and 98 air defense systems.
The defense forces continue to bravely defend Ukraine. Since the beginning of the day, the total number of combat engagements along the entire front line has increased to 134, 53 of which were recorded in the Kurakhiv and Pokrovske directions. This is stated in the report of the General Staff as of 22:00 on 17.11.2024, UNN reports.
The enemy launched one massive air strike involving 130 missiles, 61 air strikes involving 98 combat aircraft, over 700 kamikaze drone strikes and fired over three and a half thousand times at the positions of our troops and settlements using various types of weapons,
Ten combat engagements with Russian invaders took place in the Kharkiv sector . Five attacks were repelled near Starytsia, four near Vovchansk, and one attack was repelled by our defenders near Vysoka Yaruga, the enemy was not successful.
In the Kupyansk sector, the enemy tried 10 times to move our units from their positions near Kucherivka, Kruhliakivka and Kolisnykivka. One firefight near Zahryzove is still ongoing.
Seven attempts to force our defenders out of their positions were stopped in the Liman sector , the enemy tried to advance in the directions of Tverdokhlibove, Hrekivka, Terny and Cherneshchyna.
In the Northern sector, our troops repelled one enemy attack near Verkhnekamianske.
One combat engagement took place in the Kramatorsk sector . The occupants were active in the area of Bila Hora, and the enemy retreated after receiving a fierce rebuff.
The enemy tried to break into our defense twice in the Toretsk sector . Since the beginning of the day, the occupants have been in the vicinity of Toretsk and Shcherbynivka. Both attacks were successfully repelled by our defenders.
The enemy keeps trying to push our defenders from their positions in the Pokrovske sector . The Russian occupants are most active in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Krutyi Yar, Yurivka, Hryhorivka and Petrivka. A total of 23 attacks in the area have already been repelled by Ukrainian defenders, and five more clashes are still ongoing.
According to the information currently available, the aggressor's losses in this sector amounted to 251 people killed and wounded. Two tanks and 10 motorized vehicles were destroyed. In addition, two tanks, one armored personnel carrier, one vehicle and one artillery system were damaged.
The enemy is intensively attacking Ukrainian defenders in the Kurakhove sector , and at this time of day there are also 35 combat engagements. The invaders remain highly active, trying to advance in the areas of Nova Illinka, Berestky, Voznesenka, Sontsovka, Zorya, Maksymilianivka, Dale, Kurakhove and Antonivka. Ukrainian Defense Forces units repelled 20 enemy attacks. The situation is difficult but under control of the Defense Forces. Our soldiers are making efforts to prevent the enemy from advancing deep into Ukrainian territory.
According to preliminary data, the enemy's losses in terms of irretrievable casualties and wounded amounted to 128 people. Two tanks, one armored personnel carrier, two vehicles, two motorcycles and one mortar were destroyed, and one enemy armored personnel carrier and one artillery system were damaged.
In the Vremivsk sector, four firefights took place in the areas of Trudove and Rozdolivka. Three firefights are still ongoing.
In the Orikhivsk sector , our troops repelled one futile enemy attack during the day near Novoandriivka.
In the Prydniprovsky sector, our soldiers repelled four attacks by Russian invaders on the positions of Ukrainian troops.
Ukrainian defense forces continue operations in the Kursk region. The Russian aviation continues to conduct strikes with guided aerial bombs on the territory of Russia. To date, 24 air strikes have been reported using 37 guided aerial bombs,
In other areas, there were no significant changes in the situation.
