Ukraine national team winger Oleksandr Zubkov has moved to Greek side AEK

Ukraine national team winger Oleksandr Zubkov has become a player for the Greek club AEK. Zubkov, who previously played for the Turkish side Trabzonspor, signed a contract until 2030. This was reported by the press service of the Greek club, according to UNN. 

AEK FC announces the signing of a contract with footballer Oleksandr Zubkov, who transferred from Trabzonspor. Oleksandr Zubkov was born on August 3, 1996, in the city of Makiivka, Ukraine. He is a product of the Shakhtar Donetsk youth academy. In the 2018-19 season, he played on loan at Mariupol, and then spent three years playing for Ferencváros in Hungary (2019-22), making 110 appearances and scoring 20 goals in all competitions. With the Hungarian team, he celebrated league titles in the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons, as well as a "double" in 2022. 

In 2022, he returned to Shakhtar and spent two and a half seasons there, playing a total of 84 matches and scoring 20 goals. During the 2025 winter transfer window, he was acquired by Trabzonspor, and over a season and a half, he played in 57 matches, scoring 12 goals and providing 16 assists, while also winning the 2025-26 Turkish Cup with the team.

It should be noted that although the transfer fee was not specified, according to the Transfermarkt portal, the Greek club paid 4 million euros for the player. 

Based on the results of the 2025/2026 season, Greek side AEK won the league gold and qualified for the Champions League preliminary rounds.
