The Verkhovna Rada plans to simplify procedures for the import and circulation of cotton, an important raw material for gunpowder production, in Ukraine to support the needs of domestic industry for resources during and after martial law.
At one of its upcoming meetings, the Verkhovna Rada plans to consider in the second reading a bill that would simplify the procedures for the import and circulation of cotton varieties in Ukraine, which is an important raw material for gunpowder production. This was reported by UNN with reference to the agenda of the Verkhovna Rada.
Details
According to the draft law No. 10427-1, the procedure for the import and circulation of cotton varieties in Ukraine will be simplified. Cotton will be allowed to be imported without a qualification examination and certification.
The explanatory note states that the draft law provides for the creation of favorable conditions for the circulation of seeds of the best cotton varieties in Ukraine, as well as to support the restoration of an important agricultural sector in order to meet the resource needs of domestic industry, primarily for the period of martial law and within three years from the date of its completion or cancellation.
