We are currently finalizing the preparation of draft law 8030 for the second reading. I hope that it will actually become one of the best laws in the European educational space in the field of preschool education
The draft law, as indicated, provides for:
- when granting building permits, to plan kindergartens
- a variety of groups in kindergartens: multi-age, inclusive, special
- the creation of Parent Support Centers
- various forms of preschool education: full-time, pedagogical patronage, remote, family, network form
- creation of pedagogical partnership kindergartens, where teachers and psychologists will work with young children who are in the kindergarten with one of their parents
- different forms of kindergartens, including mobile kindergarten, which visits children in remote locations
- the possibility for enterprises to create a kindergarten for their employees' children, condominiums for residents' children, other educational institutions or public associations
- in cases of lack of places, the possibility for local authorities to purchase services from private kindergartens or to compensate parents for their expenses
There is reportedly good news for educators as well: For the first time, reduced working hours and a guaranteed annual vacation of 56 days have been defined by law. In addition, the draft law reportedly introduces an "adequate teaching load" for educators and other educators, determines the possibility of additional payments and salary increases, defines a variety of ways to improve qualifications, and guarantees academic freedom.
