The President of Ukraine published a video in support of Ukrainian athletes in Paris. Zelensky noted their training despite the war and emphasized that they demonstrate the spirit of the entire Ukrainian people.
Despite the war, Ukrainian athletes were able to prepare for the Olympics and show the spirit of the whole nation. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the opening day of the Summer Olympics in Paris, UNN reports.
"Today, the Summer Olympics begin in Paris. Our people, our flag and our anthem are with everyone who respects life, human values, the principles of Olympism and fair rules. We are proud of our team - the boys and girls who, despite this aggressive war, managed to prepare for the Olympics and show the spirit of all Ukrainians. They have our will to win and Ukrainian character.

We believe in Ukraine!" the President wrote on Telegram.

140 Ukrainian athletes will compete for victory at the Summer Olympics in Paris. The competition will last until August 11.
The Ukrainian team has the most representatives from athletics - 25 athletes. The team will also be represented by 18 football players and 9 athletes each in such disciplines as diving, rowing and wrestling.
