Germany and Ukraine discussed increasing German investments in Ukrainian energy, transport, agriculture, production of critical materials and green steel, as well as the development of distributed generation using German and Ukrainian components.

Germany and Ukraine discussed increasing German investments in Ukrainian energy, transport, agriculture, production of critical materials and green steel, as well as the development of distributed generation using German and Ukrainian components, the Ministry of Economy reported on April 18, UNN writes.

Details

"German business is interested in increasing investments in key sectors of the Ukrainian economy," the ministry said on social media.

As noted, this was discussed by First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko and Vice Chancellor and Minister of Economy and Climate Protection of Germany Robert Habeck.

The parties also discussed other issues:

  • development of distributed generation in Ukraine, including the possibility of using German and Ukrainian components for this purpose; 
  • prospects for attracting German businesses to increase the production and processing of lithium, graphite, titanium, nickel, and other critical materials.

The First Vice Prime Minister named the most promising sectors for investment in Ukraine, in particular: 

  • energy; 
  • transportation and logistics; 
  • agro-processing complex; 
  • production of critical materials and green steel.

Svyrydenko thanked Germany for supporting the Ukrainian army and economy and for helping our refugees.

Since the beginning of the full-scale aggression, Ukraine has received a total of 32.2 billion euros from Germany.
