Trump stated Iran's readiness to renounce nuclear weapons for the sake of a new deal. He expects a victory in two weeks and a drop in oil prices.

President Donald Trump suggested that the United States will announce a "total victory" over Iran within the next two weeks. He made this statement during a tele-rally in support of South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, who is participating in Tuesday's primary, CNN reports, according to UNN.

"We are currently in negotiations, and they want to make a very good deal. They are ready to give us everything; they are ready to completely give up nuclear weapons," Trump said.
"I think we are winning this battle, but you will see the real victory within the next two weeks when we announce a total victory. It will be an absolute victory, it will happen very soon, and oil prices will plummet," Trump noted.
As the publication notes, this is not the first time he has made promises of significant progress in "two weeks." The ceasefire with Iran, announced on April 7, was initially supposed to last two weeks while the parties finalized an agreement to end the war.
