Caroline Levitt called Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff's trip to St. Petersburg to negotiate with Russian ruler Vladimir Putin an important step in the diplomatic process aimed at ending the war and concluding a final peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine.
The spokeswoman said that US President Donald Trump constantly expresses frustration with the actions of both sides of the conflict - both Moscow and Kyiv.
