The contender for the White House chair from the Republican Party of the United States, Donald Trump, talking to his supporters during a rally in Ohio told an interesting story, the authenticity of which has not yet been confirmed. The former President allegedly outsmarted his Democratic opponents by publishing a "recording" of a 2019 phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which was a key factor in Trump's first impeachment. Donald Trump told a fictional story on Saturday, March 16, according to CNN, about how he outsmarted his Democratic opponents by releasing a "recording" of a phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, a key factor in Trump's first impeachment in 2019.
Speaking at a Saturday campaign rally in Ohio, Trump said he allowed Democrats to make "wilder and wilder" claims about what he said to Zelensky, "and then we released the tape". Trump went on to say that when Democratic Representative Nancy Pelosi of California, who was House Speaker at the time, "heard" the tape, she was angry that she had been duped by previous "false" descriptions of the conversation by her allies.
Details of this story state that Pelosi allegedly exclaimed: "What the hell have you gotten me into? Did you hear that phone call? He didn't do anything like that!" and Trump informed the Democratic representative, "Let's just pretend he did it and keep moving forward.
According to Trump, it was not known that the phone conversation in question was recorded.

- Pelosi couldn't be mad at her allies after listening to a recording of the call because she never heard a recording of the conversation. In fact, nearly five years after the July 2019 call, the U.S. has no known recordings of the conversation.
- It has been alleged that the president's phone conversations with foreign leaders are generally not recorded. Instead, they are inaccurately memorialized in writing by software and the U.S. officials who listen to them.
Retired Lt. Col. Alexander Windman, who was one of the officials who listened to Trump's conversation with Zelensky as the lead expert on Ukraine on the White House National Security Council and later became a key witness in the impeachment investigation. He said the above conversation - "did not have a recording."
