Russian troops attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure on December 25 in an attempt to deprive people of utilities. Thermal power plant equipment was severely damaged, and part of the Carpathian region was left without electricity.

Today, December 25, the Russian army struck in Ukraine to leave people without electricity, gas, heating and water, said Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, UNN reports .

"Russian strikes on the energy sector on Christmas. They did everything to leave Ukrainians without electricity, gas, heat and water," Kovalenko wrote on Telegram.

As a result of a massive Russian attack today, December 25, equipment at DTEK's TPP was seriously damaged, and power engineers are already repairing the damage.
