In response to journalists' questions about the possible dismissal of senior military leadership, the Minister reminded that there are always changes in the military component, and there are always transitional things in the military leadership.

At the same time, he assured that the resignation of the Chief Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi or the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Nayev is not currently being discussed.

In this regard, there is no such question. I know he is being shaken both internally and externally... We always joke about this issue with Valery Fedorovich. I say: "Who's firing you this time?" I mean, in this regard, I am always open: if there are such questions, I will inform you immediately. There are no such questions. There were transitions for some commanders

To recap,

Earlier this month , the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi said in an article in The Economist that the threat of a transition to a positional war is a serious challenge for Ukraine, and that delaying it is beneficial for the enemy, as it will allow it to restore and build up its military potential. Zaluzhnyi also named five priorities in order to defeat Russia.

Western partners, including Washington, reacted positively to the article by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny, saying it emphasizes the need for further support for Ukraine.

In return, the President's Office then stated that the military should not make publicwhat was happening at the front.

Eventually, on November 28, The Economist magazine, citing an unnamed source in the Ukrainian government, wrote about the deteriorating relationship between the president and the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces.
