The State Agency for State Energy Supervision and Energy Efficiency explained what two and three stages of power outages mean
Kyiv • UNN
The simultaneous use of two queues means that a consumer may be without electricity for about 8 hours a day, while three queues means a total of about 12 hours of power outage.
Ruslan Slobodian, head of the State Energy Supervision Inspectorate of Ukraine, explained that the use of two rounds of power outages means that a consumer may not have electricity for about 8 hours a day, and three rounds - about 12 hours. Slobodian said this during a telethon, UNN reports.
Details
All consumers are divided into 6 groups. I mean all those consumers who can be disconnected, except for critical infrastructure facilities. And these 6 groups are used to formulate schedules according to which disconnections can be made. In the event of an electricity shortage, the Ukrenergo dispatcher orders the dispatchers of the regional power distribution companies to apply the required number of queues, and they also have a digital measurement in the form of the amount of power that needs to be reduced. The simultaneous use of two queues means that a consumer may not have electricity for about 8 hours during the day, three queues means a total of about 12 hours of blackouts during the day
He added that during the "gray zone" there will be no power for sure, and during the "light gray zone" it will depend on the amount of deficit that will be present at a particular moment.
Sometimes it happens that not the entire queue is involved in a blackout, if, for example, it is necessary to remove power equal to the power of half of the queue, then it is clear that not the entire queue is de-energized, but this is necessarily taken into account in a cumulative manner, each regional power distribution company keeps analytics on how many consumers of each group had their power cut off during the month. And this is necessarily taken into account in the following gray areas
Recall
Yesterday, Ukrenergo reported that due to high energy consumption caused by the heat wave, there will be two rounds of power outages from 08:00 to 13:00 and three rounds at other times of the day on July 3.
