The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, denied the information about the parliamentary recess. He emphasized that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Rada has been working in a single session without interruption.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk said that the widely circulated statement that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine allegedly went on vacation is not true. He said this on Facebook, according to UNN.
The widely circulated statement that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has allegedly gone on vacation is not true. Since February 24, 2022, the Parliament of Ukraine has been working in a single session. And during this time, not a single MP of Ukraine has received an annual paid vacation, as during martial law, the Verkhovna Rada... cannot have "vacations", annual vacations or other technical breaks,

The speaker emphasized that work in the session hall is not the only activity of MPs.
"Each of them works in committees (where laws are prepared for voting in the parliament), in temporary special, temporary investigative commissions, carries out other measures of parliamentary control, and is engaged in inter-parliamentary activities," he noted.
Stefanchuk noted that the parliamentarians will also be preparing for the second reading of draft law No. 8371 (on the inadmissibility of activities of religious organizations affiliated with the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine - IF-U), as it was decided on Tuesday to focus on finalizing certain provisions of the bill for its early consideration at the plenary session.
"Therefore, once again, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has not gone on any "vacation" since the full-scale invasion and will not go on any "vacation" until our victory!" Stefanchuk emphasized.
