The State Property Fund sold a complex of buildings of the former Uman correctional colony at an auction at a price that was almost 200 times higher than the starting bid. This was reported by UNN with reference to a statement by the head of the Fund, Vitaliy Koval.

It is noted that 42 companies took part in auction . The starting price of the former colony was 149.4 thousand hryvnias, and the final price was 29 million hryvnias. Thus, during the auction, the value of the object increased 194 times.
The Ministry of Justice is transferring unused penitentiary facilities to the SPFU for sale. Today's lot consisted of a complex of non-residential buildings and structures with a total area of 3143.5 square meters. Among them are a training and production building with a basement of a former penal colony and a 60-hectare land plot under the buildings.
He also emphasized that the sale of the former Uman penal colony is a successful example that shows that today the market itself regulates the value of objects.
