The Ministry of Health has formed a 15-member council to restore the Okhmatdyt hospital, which was damaged by shelling. The members include philanthropists, diplomats and representatives of international organizations.

The Ministry of Health has formed and approved the composition of the Council for the Restoration of the Okhmatdyt Hospital, which was damaged by Russian shelling on July 8. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Health Viktor Lyashko, UNN reports.

Details

According to him, this Council consists of 15 people: philanthropists who have made the largest donations, representatives of international technical assistance projects, diplomatic missions of foreign countries in Ukraine, international and intergovernmental organizations and foundations, members of the public, and one representative of the Ministry of Health and Okhmatdyt.

In total, the Council consists of 15 members:

  1. Jaco Silier, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program in Ukraine;
  2. Donatas Butkus, Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of Lithuania in Ukraine;
  3. Ihor Katsitadze, Health Specialist at the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Ukraine;
  4. Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, Chairman of Ukrenergo;
  5. Nazar Kupybida, Vice President for Finance at Galnaftogaz;
  6. Yulia Vysotska, Director of the Research and Production Association “Praktika”;
  7. Yevhen Gonchar, Head of the Policy Formation Unit for the Medical Guarantees and Medical Care Program of the Department of Medical Services of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine;
  8. Elena Larina, leading internal control specialist at Okhmatdet;
  9. Vyacheslav Bykov, Board Member, Executive Director of the Tabletochki Charitable Foundation;
  10. Oleksandr Sushko, Executive Director of the International Renaissance Foundation;
  11. Inna Ivanenko, Executive Director of the Charitable Foundation “Patients of Ukraine”;
  12. Taras Lilyk, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors for Expert Organizations of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine;
  13. Svitlana Reva, vice president of the Interstate Guild of Consultant Engineers;
  14. Maryna Mamenko, Chairman of the Board of the Ukrainian Academy of Pediatric Specialties;
  15. Natalia Onipko, President and Founder of the Zaporuka Charitable Foundation.

Today the full Council will meet. The participants will consider a phased plan for the restoration of Okhmatdyt and provide recommendations for its implementation

Context

The Ministry of Health announced  that it is canceling tenders for engineering and consulting services and technical supervision of the repair of Okhmatdyt for UAH 14 million. This is due to a new tender for the current repairs and interior decoration of the complex.  

Against the backdrop of canceled tenders, the Ministry of Health decided to create a Council to oversee the restoration of the destroyed buildings of the National Children's Specialized Hospital “Okhmatdyt”.

Recall

The Ministry of Health said that during the restoration of Okhmatdyt, about 400 million UAH is needed only to provide equipment, and the total losses are being calculated.
