The Ministry of Health expects the first evacuation of a child from Okhmatdyt for treatment abroad to take place next week

In total, we received 16 applications from patients for treatment abroad. Okhmatdyt's doctors work with hospitals that are potentially ready to accept them in order to understand the diagnosis, treatment, and technologies that can be used.

The first evacuation of a child from Okhmatdyt for treatment abroad may take place early next week. A total of 16 applications for treatment abroad have been received from patients. This was announced by Health Minister Viktor Lyashko during a briefing, according to a UNN correspondent .

Regarding the evacuation of children abroad. So far, 16 applications have been received from patients who want to be treated or have expressed a desire to continue treatment outside of Ukraine

- Lyashko said.

He noted that there is a huge number of medical institutions  that are ready to accept children.

Now we are holding consultations for each of the 16 patients. In particular, Okhmatdyt doctors are working with hospitals that are potentially ready to accept them in order to understand what diagnosis, what treatment is used, and what technologies can be applied. We understand that one of the first evacuations may be early next week for treatment in one of the EU countries

Addendum

Lyashko reported that Okhmatdyt plans to select a construction company to eliminate all the consequences of the terrorist attack in Russia early next week. More than UAH 800 million was donated by philanthropists .

Together with state funds, this resource  will be used to eliminate the consequences of the strike in the first building.  In particular, it will be spent on the equipment that was damaged.
