The Ministry of Energy explained the reasons for the further improvement in power outages

The Deputy Energy Minister explained that the improvement in the situation with power outages is due to better weather and repairs. However, there remains a 9GW generation deficit due to attacks on energy infrastructure.
Further improvement in power outages is primarily due to improved weather conditions. It is also due to the peculiarities of the repair company at generation facilities. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Mykola Kolisnyk during a telethon, a correspondent of UNN reports.

When asked whether the situation with power supply has improved since July 20, Kolisnyk replied: "Indeed, before that we had four queues, there were emergency outage schedules for objective reasons. The further improvement in outages is primarily due to the improvement in weather conditions. The terrible heat wave is expected to subside. This is also due to the peculiarities of the repair company at the generation facilities, but at the same time, we must understand that there are risks of continued shelling of civilian energy infrastructure.
He reminded that today there is a shortage as a result of eight complex attacks on energy infrastructure facilities. The generation deficit is 9 gigawatts.
Therefore, the main task of power engineers today is to keep the power system intact and secure the supply of electricity, while carrying out as many repairs as possible to prepare the generation and distribution facilities to transmit all the electricity that can be generated before the heating season
