The fsb announced the detention and arrest of a German citizen. The statement said that a russian-speaking German citizen, Nikolai Viktorovich Gaiduk, born in 1967, who lives in Hamburg, was detained. He is suspected of involvement "in the March 2024 explosion of a pipe at a low-pressure gas distribution station in kaliningrad using an improvised explosive device.
Gaiduk was reportedly detained when he entered the kaliningrad region from Poland. According to the special service, he came to ussia "to organize sabotage activities at energy facilities." It is also stated that he was carrying 0.5 kg of liquid explosives in the car.
It is also noted that Haiduk received the task of sabotage and the components of the homemade bomb from a fellow Ukrainian in Hamburg, who has a residence permit in Germany, Oleksandr Zhorov.
