The Ukrainian military has tested a new AQ 400 Scythe kamikaze UAV with a range of up to 750 km and a potential payload of 70 kg, with plans to increase production to 500 units per month.

The Ukrainian military conducted a test flight of the new Ukrainian kamikaze UAV AQ 400 Scythe. This was reported by the Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine, UNN reports

Characteristics of the AQ 400 Scythe attack drones:

- Speed: 144 km/h;

- Range: up to 750 km;

- Wingspan of the UAV: 2.3 м;

 - Takeoff weight of the UAV: 100 kg;

- Weight of the warhead: 32 kg (can be extended to 70 kg by reducing the range).

It is noted that increasing the payload by reducing the range can be an important factor in determining the optimal flight parameters depending on the specific task.

Details 

The drone company said it already makes 100 units of drones per month and plans to increase production to 500 units. 

Although the company buys some components outside Ukraine, primarily from Germany and the UK, the project's priority is to localize production within Ukraine as much as possible.
