According to updated data on the company's official website, the cost of the premium all-wheel-drive version of the Model Y has increased by $1,000 to $49,990. The premium rear-wheel-drive version of the Model Y also saw a $1,000 price hike, with its price now standing at $45,990.
Tesla also increased the price of the Model Y Performance with all-wheel drive by $500 to $57,990. The company did not explain the reasons for the change in pricing policy.
Tesla's previous price increase for the Model Y in the US took place in 2024, when all versions of the model rose in price by $1,000.
Tesla has previously revised prices for other models
Last year, the company also raised the price of its Cybertruck pickup in the US by $15,000, despite weaker-than-expected sales and vehicle recalls. The Model Y remains one of the key electric vehicles in Tesla's lineup and one of the most popular electric crossovers in the world.
Currently, the company has not announced any potential price changes for other vehicle models in the US.
