A 56-meter-long temporary bridge over the Teteriv River has been opened for traffic in Kyiv Oblast. The structure was built 2 months after the previous bridge was destroyed by a Russian missile strike in March 2022.

In the Kyiv region, a temporary bridge has been opened on a new axis across the Teteriv River near one of the villages on the border of Vyshgorod and Bucha districts, UNN reports.

The event was attended by Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of the Kyiv RMA, Major General Oleksandr Yakovets, Head of the Administration of the State Special Transport Service, representatives of the Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service in Kyiv Region, Vyshhorod District State Administration, and contractors.

"The previous bridge was destroyed by a Russian missile attack in March 2022. It will be completely restored. However, a temporary bridge with a length of almost 56 meters was built so that the community residents would not lose time on detours.  The bridge is made in one passage and with sidewalks on both sides," said Ruslan Kravchenko, head of Kyiv RMA.

The construction work, which was carried out by one of the units of the State Special Transport Service, took 2 months. Ruslan Kravchenko thanked the military for their prompt work despite all the challenges.

"This project is another step towards restoring our region after the destruction caused by the enemy. Each restored object is a symbol of the indomitable spirit of our people!" he said.
