Ukrainians expressed dissatisfaction with the country's tax policy and sarcastically proposed new taxes, such as on air, bad weather, sleep, and even a tax on tax itself.

In a poll by UNN, Ukrainians expressed dissatisfaction with the government's actions and tax policy, and advised the head of the Verkhovna Rada's Tax Committee, Danylo Hetmantsev, on what other new taxes could be introduced in Ukraine.

Previously, Hetmantsev has repeatedly stated the need to increase taxes and fees in Ukraine. In particular, in March, he announced a draft law to increase the tax burden, including on individual entrepreneurs, to be considered by the parliament.

According to respondents, economic and tax policy in Ukraine is wrong and the country is moving in the wrong direction. Ukrainians also note that the tax burden on private entrepreneurs is currently so high that they cannot survive.

However, according to respondents, the government still has room for improvement. According to them, in order to line their pockets, the authorities should tax the entire population. In particular, Ukrainians believe that the authorities can introduce a birth tax so that as soon as a new citizen is born in the country, he or she already owes the state.

Among the ideas, they name a tax on sleep, leaves in the fall, bad weather, and even a tax on tax.The most popular proposal was a tax on air.
