The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, announced an increase in Russian troops in Ukraine by 100,000 in 2024. The situation remains tense along 1,130 kilometers of the front line.
The Russian army has increased the number of troops in Ukraine by 100,000 this year, General Oleksandr Syrsky, commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, told Le Monde, UNN reports.

"This year, according to our estimates, there are 100,000 additional Russian soldiers on Ukrainian soil," the chief noted.
Syrsky admitted that "the intensity of fighting is very high" on the eastern front and "the situation is very tense on the 1130 kilometers of the front line."
In September, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree to increase the number of Russian troops. According to the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, this once again shows that all of Russia's statements about its readiness for negotiations are manipulations by Moscow.
In November, Russia's average daily casualties in Ukraine reached a new record of 1,523 people per day. During the month, the Russian army lost 45,680 soldiers, making November the most expensive month of the war for the Kremlin.
