Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi said that Russia has increased the intensity of hostilities in the Kursk region, where DPRK army units are actively involved. According to him, North Korean mercenaries have already suffered significant losses. He spoke about this during a meeting of the All-Ukrainian Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, UNN reports.

According to him, the main efforts of the Ukrainian Defense Forces are currently focused on holding the occupied borders and positions, inflicting maximum losses on the enemy, exhausting the enemy and creating conditions for the further liberation of the TOT.
The situation is most difficult at the Pokrovske and Kurakhove directions. The enemy has increased the intensity of its actions in the Kramatorsk, Toretsk and Vremivsk sectors, where it is trying to break through the defense of our troops, but is not successful
According to Syrsky, the situation in the south of Ukraine is tense but controlled: the Russians are conducting low-intensity offensives in the Orikhivske and Dnipro directions.
The Commander-in-Chief also added that in the North, the enemy continues to shell border settlements.
