Hürriyet columnist
columnist and journalist Abdulkadir Selvi wrote today about the possibility of
of Sweden's accession to the Alliance, as the US has been making it clear for some time that
that Congress could approve the sale of F-16s if Turkey passes a resolution
through parliament on Sweden's application.
I have the impression that Turkey is inclined to support NATO enlargement and Swedish membership if the US fulfills its promise of F-16s. informed NATO that the ratification of Sweden's membership application would not be completed
on time.

with a focus on trade and dispute resolution, especially in the Aegean Sea, following
positive developments in relations.
