Veterans in the Vinnytsia region open coffee shops, veterinary clinics, and develop greenhouse farms.

Veterans and their families in Vinnytsia region are being helped to start and develop their own businesses. Granting of such initiatives became possible thanks to the competition "Support for micro-entrepreneurship of war veterans and their families: from idea to implementation in Vinnytsia region". 10 authors of business ideas received grants of up to UAH 100 thousand, reports UNN.

The project is being implemented by the Social Center of Vinnytsia Region NGO in cooperation with the Ukrainian Veterans Fund of the Ministry of Veterans within the #Worth+GO initiative, with the support of the MHP Community Foundation, which is developing the MHP Next Door reintegration and re-adaptation program for our defenders.

"This is a universal program that was launched to comprehensively support veterans and their families. As part of this initiative, we have a very clear training program. So that every veteran who has returned and has a business initiative that he or she wants to develop could apply to us," says Volodymyr Panchenko, Head of National Projects at MHP-Hromada Charitable Foundation.

One of the winners is Vasyl Bobryk, a math teacher from Ladyzhyn. In 2022, Vasyl joined a territorial defense unit. He was in the army for a year and a half and took part in battles. After the difficult events in Bakhmut, he returned to teaching after receiving a deferment. In civilian life, he has a hobby - growing vegetables in a greenhouse. His current salary is 12 thousand hryvnias. This money is enough to "feed" two children, and the eldest has to go to university. That is why Vasyl took a chance and submitted his application for the competition.
