Sumy region authorities are introducing a system of passes for access to the border areas as people try to return after the evacuation. Twenty-one thousand people have already been evacuated, and another 25,000 are ready to be evacuated.

In the Sumy region, the authorities have recorded attempts by people to return home after the evacuation, so a pass system is being introduced in the region. However, the authorities advise not to endanger themselves. This was announced by the head of the Sumy MVA Oleksiy Drozdenko during a telethon, UNN reports.

We record people's attempts to return home after the evacuation. We discourage such ideas in every possible way. In addition, at the regional level, we are rolling out a whole system of passes for those who live there, have relatives or similar circumstances. So it's not an absolutely rigid blockade, although we advise people not to put themselves in danger

- Drozdenko explained.
