We harvested 23 million tons of crops, which is 5 million tons less than expected. Due to the drought in the south, yields are low, while in the west the situation is better - up to 9 tons per hectare.

As of today, 23 million tons of crops have been harvested, which is 5 million tons less than expected. This was stated by MP and member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy Dmytro Solomchuk during a briefing, UNN reports .

To date, we have harvested more than 23 million tons of crops. Of course, our expectations in the spring were a bit higher, about 28-29 million tons of early crops,

According to him, due to the drought in the southern regions of Ukraine, they managed to harvest 1.8-2 tons per hectare, which is a very low figure.

"The situation is better in the Western regions. Farmers harvested 6.5 to 9 tons per hectare," he added.
