Shots were fired at a market in the resort town of Westerland on the island of Sylt in northern Germany. A large number of police officers arrived at the scene. According to BILD, one person was detained near the station in Westerland, but the search for at least one more is still ongoing, UNN reports.
No casualties have been reported yet, and the circumstances of the shooting also remain unknown. At the same time, images from the scene show a bullet hole in the window of a hair salon.
The island of Sylt, located in the North Sea and bordering Denmark, is considered one of the most famous and prestigious German resorts. It is also famous for its luxury real estate, which has been repeatedly recognized as the most expensive in Germany.
